Accommodations for out of town competitors and support personnel.

Margriet van Laake's bed and breakfast has accommodated competitors for Alaska's winter wilderness races for over a decade. During the summers she has been primarily been hosting mountain climbers. However, her facilities are ideally suited for cyclists from out of town who want to compete in our mountain bike and road races. She has a huge garage where bikes can be stored and worked upon, and she can accommodate up to 40 people at one time. Margriet's B&B is located a short distance from the Coastal Trail, a good place for a tune-up ride.

The Mountain Bike State Championships will take place locally in September, and it would be neat to have out of town participation. Just recently the Tour of Anchorage drew participation from Fairbanks, Whitehorse and Juneau. Especially with the US/Canada exchange rate it can be very expensive for Canadian visitors to compete in our races.

Give Margriet a call and ask her about her group rates.
