Stage 2 of the weekend-long Mountain Bike Racing State Championship was a 3-mile Super Downhill track at Hilltop Ski Area. The course, designed and set by Darren Mattingley, began at Prospect Heights, ran down Gasline, and ended at the north end of the Hilltop parking lot. One expert racer, upon finishing, said, "That was scary!"
