Up & Over Powerline Challenge

Are you looking for an event that requires you to travel distance, climb a huge hill as well as an awesome down hill? Then this is the event for you!

This challenging expert/sport division race starts at 10 am at the South Bivouac Trailhead through the first half of Spencer Loop onto the Gasline past Prospect Heights up Powerline Trail to the top. At this point you begin the treacherous decent down into Indian. The last stretch takes you through the woods onto a beautiful hidden trail that leads you to the finish, directly behind the Indian House. Restrooms, water, food, and first-aid will be available. All racers will need to arrange and provide their own transportation back to Anchorage.

The distance: 18.7 miles with approximately 3500 feet of climbing. It is highly recommended that you pre-ride this course to truly appreciate the challenge and understand the technical requirements.

Speaking of requirements, the following items are mandatory for each racer to have on them at the start: spare tube, patch kit, pump, food, water, multi tool , and a light weight jacket.

The race fee is $20. Registration forms available at Pat's Bikes, Paramount Cycles, and The Bike Dept. at the Motorcycle Shop.

Race day registration will be available from 9-9:45am at the South Bivouac Trailhead Parking Lot.
