June 22, 2004 (revised 6-24-2004)

Sunny, hot and gorgeous. We had just under 100 racers come out for a dusty ride on our hilly and treacherous 6-mile course. But when it was over, there was nothing but smiles and a few tall tales about the hill that got away for everyone. Four racers did not finish -- a few harsh bumps even knocked one guy's eye glasses off his face and he lost a lens! Ouch! - Shareen
